Based on 1:15 ratio for V60. ~15% of water is absorbed by grounds.

Steps

  1. Bloom

    0:45

    Add twice the coffee weight in water (e.g. 30g water for 15g coffee). Swirl gently to saturate all grounds. Wait 45 seconds.

  2. First pour

    1:30

    Pour in circles to about 60% of total water. Keep the water level steady; avoid dry bed.

  3. Second pour

    2:15

    Add remaining water in a slow, controlled pour. Target total brew time 3:00–3:30 from start.

  4. Drawdown

    3:30

    Let the bed drain. When the drip slows to a few drops per second, the brew is done.
